John Noble, goalkeeper of Enyimba, has expressed his confidence in the club’s ability to
bring back CAF Champions League glory to Nigeria.
Noble’s remarks came after Enyimba emerged victorious in the NPL Super Six playoffs and secured qualification for the upcoming CAF Champions League.
Enyimba holds the distinction of being the only Nigerian club to have clinched Africa’s
prestigious club competition, achieving this feat in both 2003 and 2004. With their recent

On the final day of the NPL playoffs, Finidi George’s Enyimba side played against former
league champions Rivers United, resulting in a 1-1 draw. This outcome proved sufficient for Enyimba to claim the title. Despite all three teams—Enyimba, Remo, and Rivers
United—finishing with nine points each, Enyimba secured the championship based on a
superior goal difference.
As a result of their triumph, Enyimba and Remo will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while Rivers United will compete in the Confederation Cup.
