Enyimba FC Crashes Out Of CAF Confederation Cup After 3-1 Loss To Zamalek

Enyimba FC’s campaign in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup came to an end following a 3-1 defeat to Egyptian side Zamalek.

Zamalek took the lead in the 28th minute through a composed finish by Mostafa Shalaby. Their dominance continued early in the second half, with Saif Al-Jaziri doubling the advantage in the 48th minute.

Enyimba showed resilience, pulling one back in the 57th minute when Ifeanyi Ehemkwell found the net to reduce the deficit and revive their hopes. However, Al-Jaziri sealed Zamalek’s victory with his second goal in the 88th minute, ending any chances of a comeback.

The result solidified Zamalek’s position at the top of the group, while Enyimba, stuck on 5 points and in third place, missed out on progressing to the next round.
