Emmanuel Ibeahuchi, the esteemed former captain of the Nigerian Special Eagles, who continues to actively contribute to the team, shared his anticipation and aspirations for the upcoming Amputee Nations Cup in Egypt.

In an exclusive interview, Ibeahuchi provided insights into the team’s journey and their unwavering commitment to triumph on the international stage.
Reflecting on past achievements, Ibeahuchi remarked, “We have done a lot, and we have traveled to many places for this. In 2018, we journeyed to Mexico for the Amputee World Cup, where we played and performed admirably.
In 2019, we ventured to Angola, reaching the final and securing a commendable second place. Since then, we have been relentless in our efforts, training rigorously to improve our game.”
With the focus now on the Amputee Football Nations Cup in Egypt, slated for April, Ibeahuchi underscored the team’s need for sponsors and support from various quarters. He appealed to the government and banks, urging Nigeria to rally behind the Special Eagles. “Nigeria should come to our aid and assist us, and we are going to make them proud this time,” he affirmed.
Ibeahuchi provided assurance of the team’s preparedness, stating, “We are training fully. You can see the boys on the field. Everybody is totally fit. We are going there. We are going to bring the cup back home.” The commitment and determination emanating from the team signal their readiness to vie for success at the upcoming tournament.
