The 2013 AFCON winner and highest goal scorer, Emmanuel Emenike has said that he will always remember the late Stephen Keshi.
Emenike who played under the late gaffer at the 2013 AFCON said ‘ I will never forget Stephen Keshi. He’s a good coach that knows how to encourage his players. He always said to me, Emenike you are better than every body’.
The former Fenerbahce man was an integral member of the Stephen Keshi squad to both the 2013 AFCON in South Africa which they won and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Emenike also used the opportunity to announce the completion of his project in Owerri, Imo state capital.
‘I’m currently building a hospital in Owerri. It is 90% complete , if not for the pandemic, I would have launched it. Yes, it is business but will also create lots of employment opportunities’.
Since playing for Belgian second division clubside, KVC Westerlo in 2019, Emenike has been without a club.
