Foreign envoy and youth advocate Emmanuel Akpakwu MFR paid a courtesy visit to former Nigerian Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar, in what represented paying respect to whom it is due.
Akpakwu embarked on the visit to meet and touch base with one of his political godfathers in his hometown.
“It is necessary to be thoughtful at all times and remember those who have always been a source of wisdom and fountain of knowledge from which we drink from,” Akpakwu said. “General Abdulsalam has been a mentor and someone I have always looked up to. I decided to once again visit him, in what was a nostalgic reunion.”
“I’m always glad to see him sound, healthy and vibrant, dishing out his wealth of experience. I was not surprised when he visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and today, I have once again learnt from his knowledge depth, and I appreciate the opportunity,” Akpakwu added.
The soft spoken astute administrator concluded that such knowledge and wisdom are needed to show where we are coming from and project where we are going to, as a nation.
