Emiloju FC Wins N14M As Champions Of Showtime Youth Cup’s Thrilling First Edition

Adedoye Samuel Ayobami Named MVP as Emiloju FC Defeats Oskey International FC 3-1

In a football finale that had fans on the edge of their seats, Emiloju FC emerged as the first-ever champions of the Showtime Youth Cup, defeating Oskey International FC with a convincing 3-1 scoreline and walking away with a total of ₦14 million in prize money — including team winnings and individual awards.

The final, packed with excitement and emotion, saw Ayodeji Thomas Adefila, Onawumi Caleb Oluwafemi, and Madubugha Donald Elochukwu finding the back of the net for the champions. Their goals sealed a historic win and crowned Emiloju FC the kings of the first-ever edition of the tournament.

The team’s inspirational captain, Adedoye Samuel Ayobami, was crowned Player of the Tournament, earning ₦1.5 million, while Chijindu Miracle Anaikwe was awarded Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, also receiving ₦1.5 million for his standout performances.

The final was held at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, and in a show of transparency and professionalism, the organizers paid all prize money immediately after the match.

The organizers, praised for their excellent coordination, also rewarded the semi-finalist teams with full sets of jerseys, hoses, and hand gloves.

In another generous gesture, customized jerseys have been promised to both finalists to commemorate their outstanding performances.

Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao, speaking at the closing ceremony, commended the tournament’s quality:

“I must commend the organizers of the Showtime Youth Cup for making this tournament top-notch. It’s one of the best we’ve ever attended.”

Additional individual awards for Best Goalkeeper, Most Valuable Player, and Highest Goal Scorer came with ₦1.5 million each, further highlighting the tournament’s commitment to rewarding excellence.
