At least 11 lucky aspiring football talents will get the chance to start on the road to achieving their dreams of super stardom, while picking up valuable lessons from a legend.
As part of efforts to give back to the sport that made him a star, former Super Eagles striker and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, Emmanuel Emenike will launch a football mentoring project.
The project tagged Emmanuel Emenike Future XI will kick start with a football tournament set to get underway in December 2018 and involving 32 registered local football academy teams vying for a top prize.
32 teams will be housed in 8 groups; with four teams in a group, and the top two will progress to the second round.
From the second round, 16 teams will continue to the quarter-final. The last four will play in the semi-final and two will progress to the final, where the winner will take top prize; a cash reward and a symbolic trophy.
During the tournament, a team of reputable football scouts will identify the best players and those selected will proceed to join the Emmanuel Emenike Future XI.
The players selected; the best in the different positions in team, will subsequently under go carefully planned and strategized mentoring programme by the football star, Emmanuel Emenike.
As part of the mentorship, the very best players get certified and are presented with the opportunities to pursue their dreams of become stars in the best football clubs across the world.
