Emem Eduok Happy To Score Again In Turkey

Former Akwa United of Uyo striker, Emem Eduok admits he is happy to score again, following a long barren run in front of goal with Kasimpasa of Turkey, as he struck against Menemen Belediyespor in the Turkish Cup.

Sports247.ng reports that Eduok was back on song in a 4-1 win for his side, and the former home-based Eagles striker confessed that it was a huge relief and heavy weight taken off his shoulder.

The 24-year-old Eduok, who was in the Flying Eagles squad to the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey, has played as a winger this season, but says he is equally glad to achieve a new personal mark halfway through.

Eduok now has six goals and five assists, which is better than the mark he set during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 campaigns, but the fair-skinned attacker said he is still gunning for a better run since moving to Europe.

The former Dolphins of Port Harcourt and Esperance of Tunisia star, who debuted for the Eagles against Tanzania in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, said he is back to his best.

‘I was happy that I scored on Wednesday,” Eduok stated. “It has been a long time coming, but I am happy. It’s that better late than never.”
