Head Coach Daniel Ogunmodede addressed the press after the crucial victory, expressing satisfaction with his team’s performance and commending their ability to handle the pressure of reclaiming the top position.
Ogunmodede acknowledged the intense pressure his squad faced, stating, “It was a big pressure not to be top of the table for 24 hours. Even if we are not on top for just one hour, it brings pressure. I must commend the boys for being able to deal with the pressure.”
He highlighted a brief lapse in the first hour of the game, where they struggled to control possession and secure second balls. Fortunately, they weathered the storm and avoided conceding during that period.
The coach emphasized the team’s realization of the significance of regaining the top spot and the importance of securing three points.

He explained, “In the second hour, we realized how important it is for us to be back on top of the table. We made one or two substitutions to bring more attack. The best way to defend sometimes is to attack, which we tried to do, and we were rewarded with our second goal. We are happy to be back on top of the table.”
