Eletu Academy’s Performance Excites Coach Idowu

Head coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Academy, Oluwadamilola Idowu has commended his boys for putting up a good performance against Future Bright in a recent friendly match played at Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos.

Eletu Boys walloped Future Bright 4-1 in a friendly game watched by scanty spectators.

Idowu who is worried over the team’s performance at the recent friendlies told journalists that he was impressed by the way his boys responded to his tactics and urged them to remain focused and steadfast in subsequent matches.

“I must say that our match against Future Bright is one of the best games I have seen. It is not because we won but what I told the players, they carried it out as I said. I must commend them for doing that and I wish the players to continue in this direction,” he said.

In his own remark, Future Bright coach, Yusuf Kareem admitted that their opponents were the better side and blamed his boys for not converting their chances in the course of the game.

Rasheed Abdullahi opened the goal-scoring for Eletu in the 8th minute. The Eletu boys were technically better as they dominated the pulsating tie. Chinedu Okonkwo and Camara Malik scored one goal each before halftime.

Future Bright came out in the second half to reduce the tally. Their effort was rewarded when Afugbai John scored in the 49th minute.

The goal motivated Eletu boys to increase the tempo of the game. Although both of them created some scoring chances until Micheal Awelewa made their fourth goal in the 78th minute to confirm their superiority over their opponents.
