As the election of Lagos State Coaches Football Association is drawing nearer, the chairman of electoral committee, Suraju Alao has announced the venue where the delegates and candidates would cast their votes to decide next elected executive members that would run the affairs of the association in the next few years.
In a statement forwarded to our correspondent early today, Alao stated that the electoral committee had resolved to pick Ifako- Ijaiye local council indoor hall for the elections scheduled to hold on 12, May, 2022.
Alao however admonished the deleagtes and candidates to arrive the election venue by 9: am saying that accreditation of the delegates would starts by 10: am.
“We the committee have decided to hold the elections at the Ifako-Ijaiye council. We are also expecting our noble delegates and candidates to be at the venue before the accreditation. Any delegate or candidate fails to come as the stipulated time would not be eligble to vote and to be voted for.
“I am using this medium once again to urge the delegates to be law abiding citizens and shun any social vices that can ruin the election.We are aware that the Lagos coaches election is very crucial because if we can get it right, other states would follow suit,” he said.
To make the election transparent, Alao said the electoral committee has received the backing of the national body led by Ladan Bosso noted that they have invited officials from national body, Lagos State Football Association, Southwest Coaches Association and other stakeholders in the football indutrsy to witness the election.
“We have received support from all and sundry and we are happy to announce that our national body has assured us to witness our election. Aside this, members of Lagos FA are coming as an observers and other football stakholders so that all the candiadtes would have confidence in the electoral process,” he said.
Meanwhile the electoral committee had announced the name of the candidates ahead of the election.
