Unification Football Club today overtook Lakeside Queens in the Group B table of the EkoFootball Queens Championship when they defeated Heroes Queens 3-0 at the Agege Stadium.
Unification FC have the same three points as Lakeside Queens, but a superior three goals. Lakeside had defeated Victory Queens 2-0 in the group’s opener on Wednesday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos.
In Group B, Oracle Queens Football Club shot into the lead on the table with an away 2-0 victory over SGH Football Academy at the Agege Stadium, to garner their first win and a maximum of three points.
The FC Phoenix Queens defeated BFA English Queens 2-1 in the first Group B match at the Agege Stadium.
At the Lagacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos today, newly promoted Nigeria Women League Championship team, Royaltoms Queens Football Club, walloped TCCG Lagos 4-0 to record the highest goal scored by a single team in the group game of the EkoFootball Queens Championship, to shoot to the top of Group C with three points.
In the Group D, the two opening games played at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos, today ended in a 1-1 draw, with same goals for and against, leaving the group with no league leader. The teams all have one point each.
Dannaz Ladies FC, a former NWFL Nationwide Club now promoted to the NWFL Championship, played a 1-1 draw against Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos, the same result in the second Group D game between Arising Stars Queens versus Leo Queens.
The opening games in the Group E and F, and a second Group C game, totalling five matches, will be played tomorrow Friday, 4th June, 2021 at the Agege Stadium and the Legacy Pitch National Stadium Lagos.
Flourish FA will confront AJ Inter Queens at 10a.m in a Group E opener at the Agege Stadium.
In Group F, Nakamura FA will slug it out against Papa Soccer Academy at 12noon at the Agege Stadium, in their opening group game.
Another Group F opening game would see Divine Football College face Fortress Ladies at the Legacy Pitch. Kick-off time is 10am.
In a Group C game, Oasis Queens another NWFL Nationwide team will take on Future Stars 99 Soccer Academy at the Agege Stadium, kick off time is 8am.
