Victory Queens Football Club that lost their opening home game 2-0 to Lakeside Queens, Saturday woke up from their slumber as they pummeled Unification FC 3 -1 in the second Group A match played at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Lagos.
This win gave Victory FC their first three points of the competition emerge joint second place in group A all on three points with Unification FC and Heroes Fc, while Lakeside Queens top the table with 4 points.
Lakeside Queens played a goalless draw against Heroes Queens to garner 4 points enough for them to sit on top of the Group A table.
In a Group B match, SGH Sports Academy played out a 2-2 draw with Phoenix Queens. The highly entertaining game caught the attention of Lagos women football supporters who came out in their numbers to watch the game. SGH scored first to shoot into the lead before Phoenix pulled back to equalized, shot into the lead before they were forced to a 2-2 draw in a game the two teams showed the class they were made of.
At the Agege Stadium, Leo Queens lost 0-3 to Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens in a Group D game played at the Agege Stadium.
According to the Secretary, Lagos FA, Akeem Okikioposu, there is a slight adjustment to Sunday’s EkoFootball Queens Championship games scheduled for the Agege Stadium due to an NNL match on Sunday morning by 8 am.
As it is, the Ekofootball Queens Championship on Sunday 6th June 2021 at the Agege Stadium are scheduled as follows:
Flourish FA will battle against Aseyori Queens at 10 am in a Group E game.
While in Group F, Divine Football College will slug it out with Nakamura FA at 12noon and Papa Soccer Academy will engage in a tough battle against Edo State’s youthful side, Fortress Ladies at 2 pm at the Agege Stadium.
At the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos, Sunday games would see TCCG Ladies confront Future Stars 99 Soccer Academy at 8 am in Group C.
In Group D, the newly promoted NWFL Championship side Dannaz Ladies will play against Arising Stars Queens at 10 am.
Young Talent 99 will battle against AJ Inter Queens at 12noon in Group E.
