Aliu Yekini 92th minutes goal was SAAB Academy needed to force May Football Club to play draw in the week one of the Ekofootball league which kicked off across various centres in Lagos.
The encounter which held at the Igbobi College saw both teams played purposeful football.
Micheal Arinze drew the first blood in the early first half before Momoh Fatai scored the second goal to make life miserable for the May players.
The second half was a total different as Salami Olalekan scored two goals within ten minutes.A penalty was awarded to May FC in the 90th minutes and was quickly converted by Wasiu Sulaiman.
While May FC players were waiting for referee to blow the final whistle Yekini got a pass from his collegaue and quickly fired a shot at the close range in the 92th minutes to deny their opponents outright victory.
Reacting after the match, SAAB coach, Adeboye Soneye said he was very grateful to God for picking away point and assured their fans better outing in their next home match.
On his own comment,May coach,Bayo Oyeleye said it was a fair result but charged his players to improve on their performance before the next game.
While May team manager,Olusanjo Adeoti expressed disappoinment over his team’s performance and urged the players to show commitment and resilience in their next game.
In other results,Dosu boys played 0-0 with Young Stars.
The match between Badagry United and Shola FC in Ikorodu was cancelled as a result of bad pitch of home team.
