Papa Soccer Football Academy and Vino Gano Football club of Ikorodu on Sunday won their fourth and final games in the Round One of the 2020/2021 EkoFootball League.
Papa Soccer Football Academy defeated Diamond Stars Football Club 1-0 at the “Soccer Temple” Agege Stadium to record their second victory in the League, while Vino Gano Football Club of Ikorodu recorded their first victory in the league with a 3-2 win against Little Wonders FC in a pulsating game played at the Strong Tower Academy Ground, Ikorodu.
With Sunday’s victory, Papa Soccer moved to the second position on the table with 7 points in Group B, five points behind league leaders, Young Stars Football Club. Diamond Stars now moved to the third position. They were in the second position before Sunday’s final Round One game.
For the Taiwo Oloyede-tutored Vino Gano, the well-deserved victory after four matches took the team out of the bottom place on the table to Fourth place with a very valuable three points.
Going into the second round, the final Round One league standings in Group B has Young Stars in the first position with 12 points, Papa Soccer FA in the second position with 7 points, Diamond Stars in the third position with 6 points, Vino Gano in the fourth position with three points and Little Wonders in the fifth position with 1 point.
While in Group A, at the end of the first round of matches, going into the second round, YG FC are in the first position with 6 points, Alex Transfiguration in the second position with 6 points, and Opopoona Iwa Mimo FC stand in the third position with 5 points. New Era Fc are in fourth place with 4 points and Shola FC fifth place with 4 points.
The second round of 2020/2021 EkoFootball League begins almost immediately from June. The league will be rounded off in June.
