In a high-powered ceremony held at the Ekiti State Football Association Secretariat in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, February 5, key football stakeholders, including Ekiti FA Chairman Aare Oluwole Oloworemo and League Chairman Mr. Soji Farotimi, laid the foundation for what promises to be the most thrilling season yet.

Mr. Farotimi expressed gratitude to Aare Oloworemo for his unwavering support, vowing that this year’s edition would surpass all expectations with better organization, increased participation, and heightened competition.

“We have learned from last year’s mistakes, and we are committed to making this year’s league a spectacle that will capture the hearts of football fans across the state,” Farotimi assured.

Aare Oloworemo praised the league body for its commitment to transparency, a crucial factor in building trust among fans, clubs, and stakeholders.

“I must commend the league body for the transparency displayed in the last competition. This is a value we must uphold to strengthen the credibility of the league,” he stated, emphasizing the crucial role of the newly inaugurated committees in shaping the future of Ekiti football.

The Marketing Committee, led by Mr. Remilekun Sholola, will drive sponsorship and brand engagement, while the Media Committee, spearheaded by Mr. Yunisa Fatai, is tasked with amplifying coverage and storytelling to enhance the league’s visibility.

With the playoffs set to begin in March and the main season running from April to August, excitement is already building for what could be the most competitive and commercially successful season in Ekiti State Football League history.

Football fans, brace yourselves—Ekiti football is about to take center stage like never before!
