In it’s quest for sustainable youth development through football, the Ekiti State Football Association has concluded plans for a ten year master plan for football development in the state.
This was contained in the communique made available to the media after the meeting of the FA Executive Board members held on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti, it stated as suggested by the Patron of the Ekiti FA Honourable Akintunde Oyebode, a proper roadmap should be built towards a viable football culture in the state.
“As the Board’s tenure winds down, they expressed commitment to drafting a 10-year Ekiti Football Development blueprint as suggested by the Patron, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode, that will serve as a critical road map to birth a sustainable and productive football culture in the state from their administration to successive ones. This will be done with support and guidance from the Grand Patron and Patrons”
Meanwhile the Ekiti FA has expressed displeasure at hooliganism during and after matches and admonished clubs to always have proper control of their players and fans because erring clubs will be sanctioned heavily.
“On competitions in the state, they condemned hooliganism displayed by some clubs and their fans even when the FA has been relatively lenient in wielding the sanctions hammer. Henceforth, any defaulting individual or club will be heavily penalized”
