Ekiti State Football Association is not relenting on its developmental strides achieved in recent times, as it has advised the 16 Local Football Councils in the state to organize ‘Unity Cup’ in their various zones.
Ekiti FA Chairman Bayo Olanlege made this charge through a statement signed by the FA’s Secretary, Pelumi Abiara.
It appreciated the contributions and supports of the various local football councils, as well as, the patrons and donors that helped it achieved some of its developmental goals.
“We appreciate your contributions to the success of all the completed projects in 2021. To crown the efforts driven towards accelerated growth of grassroots football in Ekiti state in 2021, the Ekiti FA directs that you organize a Unity Cup, for clubs in your local football councils.
“This will domesticate the development of youth, using football as a tool in the state,” the statement further read.
The Unity Cup for clubs in the LFCs is expected to hold between now and December 2021.
