The Ekiti State Football Association has charged the 16 Local Football Councils in the state to organize football competitions in their various areas to be named Unity Cup.
Ekiti FA in a statement signed by the EKSFA Secretary, Mr. Idowu B.S. explained that the objective is to create a platform for social interaction amongst youths in the local council and add one more fun for the yuletide season.
The football tournament is expected to be organized as competition for all towns within each local football council.
The Football Association encourages the local councils to look inwards to source for the funds that will be used to prosecute the competition.
The highest football body in the state expects the unity cup in the 16 Ekiti LFCs to be held in December, this year.
