The ebullient and youthful football administrator was irked by the unending misguiding by some members of the Nigerian football community on the activities of the Melvin Amaju Pinnick’s led board of Nigeria Football Federation.
According to Olanlege, the business of running football in Nigeria is a tough job. As the several unfounded accusations have somewhat militated against the fortunes of Nigerian football. Despite the challenges, he opined that the leadership of Nigerian football have not fared badly.
” Sometimes, I imagine the challenges of running football in Ekiti State, which are tough on its own. And thinking about the challenges the NFF and how President Pinnick and other football leaders like Vice President Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, and the likes of the President of Nigeria Referees Association, Tade Azeez, have continued to trudge on to ensure Nigerian football keeps improving, we must give kudos to them,” he remarked.
He further admonished football stakeholders and particularly, the corporate world to rally support for the leadership of NFF, for the betterment of Nigerian football. Adding that with concerted efforts, Nigerian football would hit the desired heights.
