Success who only a day before signed a 5 year contract with the Academy was handed his debut by Coach Adeyinka Ogundeji and the striker didnt disappoint when he got off the mark in the 25th minute to put the KG boy in front.
The rejuvenated KG Sports Academy started the game a little bit slow but after about 15mins they were able to get themselves back in the game. Another Debutante Opeyemi Afolabi who along with Success made their Debut showed they have something to bank on as they combined beautifully to put the Host in front with Success Scoring a stunning 18meters shot which was too much for the opponent goalie to parry in the 25th minute.
The first half ended 1-1 as Agbor Kingdom drew level in the 40th minute following a lack lustre display by the KG boys. Success could have gotten his second but the effort was just a little bit too much as both sides went into the break all square.
Opeyemi Afolabi whos also signed a 3 year deal to be with the KG Academy also gave good accounts of himself before be replaced in the 70th minutes….
