Nigeria’s beach soccer national team, Super Sand Eagles’ coach, Audu Adamu Ejo has raised fresh worries over his side’s preparation for this month’s continental competition in Egypt.
Despite a recent pledge by sports minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung to assist the team in preparing for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, Ejo told sports247,ng in an exclusive interview that nothing has come up.
He stressed that his team are not adequately preparing for the contest, fro which he says the counterparts they will face at the tournament are already putting finishing touches to their plans.
The Sand Eagles’ tactician, however, vowed that he and his players will not allow the situation weigh them down, as he says they will give the very best that they can muster under the prevailing circumstances.
Ejo lamented: “It is not the best of preparations at all, that we are facing, but we want to give our best for the sake of our country.
“Even with the little level of preparation we are having, we will do our best to be victorious in the championships that will begin on Saturday.”
