The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has offered Egypt the opportunity to host the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after Cote d’Ivoire withdrew due to government restrictions.
With the tournament set for April 26 to May 18, 2025, and serving as a qualifier for the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Chile, CAF has been racing to secure a new host.
Egypt, known for its strong football infrastructure and experience in hosting major tournaments, has emerged as a top candidate.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) recently met with CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba in Cairo to discuss organizing the competition.
While no official confirmation has been made, sources indicate Egypt is in final-stage talks with CAF and could soon be announced as the new host.
