The Egyptian Handball Federation (EHF) has praised the national under 19 male team for the support given to Egypt in the final of the just concluded IHF World Youth Championship in Macedonia.
In a letter written by the EHF president Engineer Hisham Nasr to the president of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Mr. Samuel Ocheho, the cadet boys were praised for the support given to Egypt in the final game against Germany which they won by 31-23 to earn their first title in the under 19 category.
“With love, respect and appreciation, I would like to thank you and support your Handball Youth team shown to our youth team during their matches at the 2019 IHF Men World Youth Championship which had profound respect from the Egyptian people in general and the Egyptian family of Handball in particular”. Engineer Hisham said
“Undoubtedly, what’s we have received from your team was an excellent example of how our sport of handball consolidate the meaning of competition and love at the same time as well it showed to whole world the spirit of brotherhood among the countries of our continent, Africa”.
Nigeria defeated Canada in their last match of the competition 37-31.
