Impressive Hibernian central defender Efe Ambrose, said his team needed the 1-0 win at Hamilton Academical after a poor series of results.
The former Celtic Glasgow star lasted the full throttle in the Scottish Premier League game at the Hope CBD Stadium on Saturday.
Oli Shaw’s second goal in the space of a week was enough to seal a return to winning ways for Hibernian.
In difficult conditions Hibs showed no shortage of composure to retain possession and frustrate Hamilton in the closing stages, with Ambrose marshalling the defence superbly to ensure the three points came back to Edinburgh.
He could not hide his delight at Hibernian halting their recent slide.
“I’m very happy because we’ve not been doing well lately, so the players deserve to celebrate,” he told Sports247.ng.
“Out of the last seven games we drew three and lost four so it was important to get the win, but despite the losing streak we were relaxed in this game.
“We were hoping to get chances on the counter-attack and it went as we expected. We needed to take the points as we worked hard to make things happen.
