The seasoned athlete, who wrapped up his indoor campaign with a season’s best of 1:47.71, will be looking to shave crucial seconds off that time as he sharpens up ahead of a highly anticipated appearance at the World Athletics Championships in September.

Joining Ibadin on the track will be an elite cast including Mexico’s National Record holder Jesus Tonatiu Lopez, USA’s Shane Cohez, Jamaica’s Navasky Anderson, Germany’s Robert Farken, USA’s Mehdi Yanouri, and Luciano Fiore—making the meet one of the most competitive early-season showdowns on the global calendar.

Ibadin, who has consistently represented Nigeria with pride and passion, is no stranger to big stages. With the World Championships looming, every race counts, and Franklin Field offers the perfect springboard as he aims for qualification and podium potential later in the year.

Track fans will no doubt have their eyes glued to this race as the 800m scene heats up in what is shaping up to be an electric athletics season. All the best to Edose as he kicks off his outdoor campaign!
