The Edo State Chapter of Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, has received with deep shock, the death of former Commissioner for youths and Sports, Hon. Presley Ediagbonya.
While commiserating with the members of his beloved family, the good people of Ovia North East and Edo State government, the Association described his death as a great loss.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of Edo SWAN, Comrade Moses Idahosa and the Secretary, Comrade Timothy Omobude stated that the industry as again lost a rare gem.
” It is very unfortunate that a man like Hon. Presley Ediagbonya has been lost, whose wealth of experience would have help further to move the industry forward not only in Edo state but in the country at large”, the statement reads.
Edo SWAN therefore pray that may God Almighty give the entire family and friends he left behind the strength and courage to bear the loss.
“Our thoughts and prayers goes to the members of the immediate family of this great and illustrious son of Ovia North East Local Government, Ovia Federal Constituency, Edo south Senatorial District, and Edo State at large
Before his demise, he was a one time Local Government Council Chairman, former Honorable Commissioner for youths and Sports Development, and the former Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Government.
