ESRA Chairman, Comrade Sunny Osayande, a notable businessman with a strong vision for the sport, expressed the association’s enthusiasm for hosting the AGM. “We are pleased with the efforts you’re making to grow the sport, and you can count on our full support,” Osayande affirmed during the NRFF delegation’s visit.
In addition to the AGM, the South South Rugby League is scheduled for October 8th and 9th, with teams from Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Edo competing for the zonal title.
The league, sponsored by ESRA’s vice chairman, Mr. Asuen Marcel, is a critical step toward qualifying for the national Super Six finals. The participating teams will arrive on October 7th, and depart on October 10th.
