Edo Queens football club of Edo State returned home safely from their trip to Lokoja, on Thursday afternoon and have proceeded on a six-day Christmas break.
The Benin-based girls earned a draw away to Confluence Queens of Lokoja, Kogi State in matchday 3 of the NWFL 2021/22 Premiership season, a point that places them fourth in Group A, bringing footballing activities to an end for the year 2021.
On touching down in Benin-City, Coach of the side Wemimo Mathew announced that players can now proceed on a six-day break, to resume camp on the 27th of December, while training begins the next day.
Meanwhile, the players will on the 1st day of the new year treat themselves to a sumptuous meal and family party as the state government have provided all that is needed for the players to celebrate the New Year with their teammates and friends in camp.
