Players of Edo Queens Football Club of Benin resume camp today after a two-week break in preparations ahead of the NWFL new premiership season expected to begin later this year.
Addressing the players at the camp, General Coordinator of the team Mrs. Sabina Chikere, in her usual manner welcomed the players by thanking God for granting them journey mercies back to Benin-City.
“On behalf of the state government, I want to thank God Almighty for granting you all journey mercies back to Edo State. I’m particularly happy to see you back in good health. I also want to extend the Deputy Governor’s sincere greetings to you all. He is also very happy to see you all back with good health”.
“Again as we are back to camp, you should know that we are back for serious business, so whatever has happened during the Super 6 in Ijebu- Ode should be put behind. As one United family, we are here to chat the way forward for Edo Queens. As we resume training in readiness for the coming season, we have brainstormed and come up with a lot of training programs for the team which is going to be of immense benefit to the entire team. So this is to tell us that we should be very serious with our training because we do not want a repetition of what happened last season to happen again. So it is our collective responsibility to make Edo Queens great again. What it means is that every one of us must be seriously involved in taking Edo Queens to her pinnacle of glory.
Once again I say welcome to you all and happy stay.” She concluded.
