…As Gabriel begins final journey home
The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Edo Queens Football Club of Benin-City, and Senior Special Assistant to Edo State Deputy Governor on Sports Mrs. Sabina Amiemenoghena Chikere, will lead the entire Edo Queens FC management team and players to Enuezike Ette village in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State for the burial ceremony of the late assistant head coach of the team Gabriel Adejor,who died on Monday the 21st September 2020, at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH, after a brief illness.
Late coach Gabriel Adejor, until his sudden demise was a devoted staff of the Edo State Sports Commission. He was also a skilful and fearless defender in his playing days with Niger Dock fc, Elkanemi fc Iwuayanwu National of Owerri, and a member of Bendel Insurance fc golden squad that won the prestigious CAF Cup in 1993/94 Season
In a statement signed by a senior member of the family Mr. Adejor Alexander which was made available to the club in Benin. The funeral arrangement is scheduled as follows:
Service of Songs is fixed for Thursday, October 8th ,2020, at his residence at No, 36A Ogbobor Street, off Limit Road,Benin- City, Edo State.
Time is 4pm- 6.30pm.
Friday,October 9th his body leaves University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH, for his Home Town Enuezike Ette, in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State where he will be committed to mother Earth.
Meanwhile, the CEO of the Edo Queens fc, Mrs. Sabina Chikere, has directed that players of the club who are resident in the State, and those within the neibouring States are expected to come and join other friends, well wishers and the entire Edo State sports family to give the late coach Gabriel Adejor a befitting burial ceremony.
