Defending Champions of Edo State Women’s FA Cup, Edo Queens FC and their Male counterparts Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin will be slugging it out in the final games of the 2022 Edo FA cup billed for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium tomorrow.
Edo Queens have Brave Heart Queens football club as their opponents ,while Insurance FC and their younger brothers, the Feeders team will be entertaining their fans,making the male final match all Bendel Insurance affairs.
The match involving Edo Queens is scheduled to kickoff by 2:00 pm while the men’s final will begin by 4:00 pm at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin-City
Edo Queens FC began their title defence campaign for the State FA Cup on a winning note by whitewashing Genesis Queens FC 9-0 in the semi-final game played last week, at the Western Boys High School in Benin.
Edo Queens will go into the game tomorrow with a mindset football hostility to defend the trophy they have been winning for the past six seasons.
A win for Edo Queens in tomorrow’s encounter will automatically give them the sole ticket for the National Aiteo Cup competition which is expected to begin soon across the country.
On th3 other hand, Bendel Insurance FC who are the defending champions of the Edo FA Cup will be at ease facing their younger brothers in the historic finals which promises to entertaining and friendly today.
The Benin Arsenal senior team defeated Yak FC 2-0 just as their Feeders beat Eagle Wings 7-6 in a shootout after a goalless draw within the ninety minutes of regulation period in the semifinals game to set up all Insurance finals.
Both Insurance FC teams have already qualified to represent Edo in the Aiteo Federation Cup irrespective of the outcome of the game tomorrow.
