The Sport-loving Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, Saturday had a swell time at NWFL/LaLiga Show Your Other Side Challenge in Benin City.
He participated in seminar and the football field activities. He played on the two sides of the teams in each half – The Team LaLiga and Team Edo. In the Penalty Challenge, after taking his own kicks which he scored, he gave N60,000.
The Deputy Governor gave N10,000 each to the 12 United Nations (IOM) migrants selected to play in the penalty challenge.
La Liga Ambassador, Mutiu Adepoju, also gave the players N20,000 for his penalty stopped by the keeper, while the CEO of Peculiar Ultimate Concerns, the sole sponsors of the NWFL Premiership, Engr. Adeleke gave the NWFL Chairperson, Aisha Falode, N100,000 for converting a brilliant penalty kick, which she donated to the players.
This is in addition to the N100,000 Engineer Adeleke, gave to the girls for saving his own penalty kick.
