Former Flying Eagles striker, Ubani Wisdom has revealed that he is not interested in winning the highest goal scorer but prefers Team Lagos to win the gold medal in the forthcoming National Sports Festival scheduled for Edo.
Wisdom said this after he scored two goals for Team Lagos against Oke Popo Ona FC in a 6-1 friendly match played early today at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The gangling striker believes that he is not satisfied with his performance yet saying that he wants to do more for Team Lagos at the festival.
Commenting on his goal-scoring, Wisdom said he always happy when he scores for Team Lagos boasting that he would use his wealth of experience to take Team Lagos far in the festival.
“As a striker, I always happy when I score for Team Lagos. I don’t feel comfortable if I don’t score for Team Lagos but as I am going to Edo, I prefer Team Lagos to win the gold medal for Lagos than to win the highest goal scorer,” he said.
Meanwhile, Team Lagos have played some matches in preparation for the festival. Team Lagos defeated Remo Stars 3-1, lost 1-2 to Vandrezzer FC at the recent friendly matches.
