Edo 2021: Team-Lagos Football Team Happy To Fully Return To Winning Ways

As the National Sports Festival draws nigh, the preparations of teams in the country continue to improve. Team Lagos is one of those teams who have been playing too friendlies against league sides in the country.

Playing three matches in the last three days, team Lagos are really gearing towards the NSF in Edo. On Sunday, they lost 2-1 to former Akwa Ibom based side, now based in Lagos, Vandrezzer FC after getting the first goal through Wisdom Ubani. The next day, Monday, they returned to winning ways by defeating Remmy FA 7-3 and then cemented their winning streak by defeating Remo FC U19 3-1 in another friendly game on Tuesday.

Speaking after the Vandrezzer game, coach of Team Lagos, coach Adesina said he wasn’t disappointed with his lads performance and also spoke about giving the lads some deserved rest after playing series of top and high-intensity friendlies.

“As a team, we’re not doing badly. It’s not easy, if any of these teams play four matches in a week, the fatigue will set in,” he said.

Coach Adesina is sure that the Lagos State Sports Commission will soon set the program for the closed camping of the athletes in order to get them better prepared for the Sports Festival.
