EDO 2020: More Gold Medals To Come- Ifiemi Gagbe

Bayelsa State swimming star, Ifiem Gagbe has vowed to win more gold medals from the 20th National Sports Festival tagged “Edo 2020”.

Ifiemi in an interview with Radio Nigeria shortly after clinching her fourth gold medal in Edo said she was thrilled with her performance so far in Benin.

She said her target was to get more gold medals having earlier won four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals so far, noting that her best yet came.

While dedicating her exploit in Benin to the almighty God she noted that her success story was because of hard work and commitment towards writing Bayelsa State’s name in gold.

She explained that her parents the brain behind her success story because they were both swimmers, stressing that swimming was an inbuilt gift in the Gagbe’s family.

Bayelsa State are currently second on the medal table with twelve gold, Six Silver, and Four Bronze while defending champions Delta State occupy the top spot with fifteen gold, seven silver, and four bronze as of the time of filing this report.
