The 2020 National Sports Festival in Edo State will positively change the narrative perception of youths and will affirm the country’s commitment to unity.
Mr Abayomi Ogunjimi, President, Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club made this known in an interview with the Sports247 on Friday.
Abayomi said that the game slated to to begin on March 22 with athletes competing for 3,000 medals from 33 sports would change the negative perceptions of youths in our country to the outside world.
“To foster Unity, Progress and Love amongst Nigerians, home and abroad: irrespective of race, culture, tribe, religion or political affiliation is our mission and we believe we can use sports to change that negative perception of youths in our country,” he said.
“I commend the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development for sustaining the Festival which has enhanced sports development,” he concluded.
