Edel FC Duo Arinze Anya and Harrison Ofonime Join Ljungkile SK in Sweden

Edel FC’s attacking star Arinze Anya and midfield maestro Harrison Ofonime have embarked on an exciting journey to Ljungkile SK Herrfotboll, a renowned Swedish third-division club, on a one-year loan deal with an option to extend for two years.

Both players secured work permits for their move, showcasing their talent on an international stage while remaining integral parts of Edel FC’s current campaign in the NNL.

Ljungskile SK, founded in 1926, competes in Sweden’s Division 1 (Ettan Sodra), currently ranked 11th in the league after six games.

Arinze and Harrison aim to elevate Ljungkile SK’s standing with their exceptional skills and dedication.

Fancy Ewulu, the Team Manager of Edel FC, expressed his delight at the successful transfer, crediting the club’s management, led by Mr. Jude Edeh, for facilitating the deal.

Ewulu remains optimistic about the players’ prospects and believes they will uphold the club’s values while making significant strides abroad.

Technical Adviser Willie Udube also extended his best wishes, confident in the players’ ability to thrive in Sweden.

Super agent and former Super Eagles player, Prince Ikpe Ekong, lauded Edel FC’s professionalism, commending President Mr. Jude Edeh and the entire management team.

Ekong particularly praised Manager Victor Okonkwo for his proactive approach, hinting at more promising collaborations in the future.

Departing Nigeria from Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, Arinze and Harrison received warm farewells from Edel FC’s team Secretary, Myckie Chukwuebuka, and Manager Victor Okonkwo, alongside family members and well-wishers.

They have since been unveiled by Ljungkile SK and are expected to have commenced first-team training starting May 5th, 2024.
