Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile’s official debuted for HJK Helsinki in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at home to HIFK in a Finnish League game.
The Nigerian international joined HJK on a free transfer in January was on the pitch for 70 minutes before he was substituted for Ivan Tarasov.
Akseli Pelvas gave the hosts the lead in the 49th minute but Tiquinho drew HIJK earned a share of the spoil in the 65th minute.
The former Monaco and Sporting Lisbon defender has option of renewal in his contract with the Finnish Club who previously had Taye Taiwo on their book.
HJK who leads the league standings with nine points after five games. will face Inter Turku in their next game on Monday.
