Empoli defender Tyronne Ebuehi will be in the Nigeria squad for the friendly game against Portugal on November 17.
Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro confirmed this in a recent interview.
Ebuehi has made five appearances for Empoli in Serie A this season. The right-back has ten caps to his name. He last appeared for Nigeria in the last group stage match of the 2021 Nations Cup against Guinea-Bissau in January this year.

“Ola Aina is our starter, an important player. Ebuehi will come with us to the national team, Dessers also scored in the last friendly match. Then there are also Okereke, Success and more: we are really happy with all the guys and we believe in them a lot. that all of them can help us in our challenges.”
Peseiro also made mention of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, praising both players for their exploits in Serie A this season. He added:
“These guys, in Italy as in the major leagues in Europe, can grow and improve a lot in their knowledge of football. Everyone knows the history of Italian futbol, they belong to the best philosophies in the world and for this I believe they can play and improve on a tactical level, especially in the defensive phase.
“For Nigerian players it is important to do it in Italy: it is a nation where the tactical aspect is very important.”
