Warri Wolves’ midfielder, Tega Ebetomame, has been one of the most consistent performers for the Seasiders, since the commencement of the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League, NNL, campaign on February 12.
The former Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, campaigner has scored in all the home games that Warri Wolves have played in the current NNL campaign.
Ebetomame’s sublime set piece strike against Go Round FC of Omoku claimed a 1 – 0 victory and all maximum points for the Wolves in their last home game on Matchday Five.
Speaking after that game, the midfielder said he was targeting more goals, especially on the road, to help the team’s overall quest to secure NPFL status at the end of the season.
As the Seasiders look set to take on Ottasolo FC at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos in their next NNL tie, Ebetomame said he is happy that he has added goal scoring to his game.
“I’m happy that I’m scoring now for the team,” the midfielder said in a chat with Warri Wolves Media.
“I had to work hard for this to happen, because not everyone believed in me before.”
“My teammates, the fans and everybody is happy for me.”
“I’m happy for the goal I scored against Go Round. Everybody was happy after the game.”
“We look forward to Saturday’s game and hope to improve on the road, possibly doing it again for the team.”
Warri Wolves are currently leading the NNL Southern Conference Group B2 table with nine points.
The Seasiders will play Ottasolo FC on Saturday at the Teslim Balogun, Surulere, Lagos.
Kick-off time is 4pm.
