Ottasolo striker Ebenezer Odeyemi has thanked the owner of the club, Gabriel Davies, for the opportunity to make his mark at the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament.
The former Enyimba forward had his goal disallowed for offside by the referee as Ottasolo lost 1-0 to Rivers United in day 4 of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament.
“I have been able to make the most of the opportunity,” he admitted to reporters at the end of the game, “with the confidence given to me by Mr. Gabriel Davies,” he said after the match.
“I wouldn’t say that was a loss. We didn’t really deserve to be defeated. That’s Football. We have to move on.”
“Playing in this tournament is a plus for me. I will like to use this medium to thank the owner of Ottasolo Academy, Gabriel Davies for giving me the Golden Opportunity to showcase my talent. I was training in Ilorin, waiting for the next step to take, he saw me and offered the olive branch. The man said I have the quality to get a team through the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament. I owe him gratitude for the opportunity.
The striker scored four goals at the recently concluded Amapro Football Championship and he revealed his desire to score more in Port Harcourt.
