Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, former midfielder for Remo Stars, has joined Italian Serie B side US Sampdoria on a season-long loan from Inter Milan.
Initial reports indicated that Akinsanmiro might leave San Siro for Sampdoria on a permanent basis, but it has been confirmed that the move is a loan deal, according to Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira.

Sampdoria initially aimed to secure Akinsanmiro on a permanent transfer with a buy-back clause for Inter Milan, but the agreement did not come to fruition.
The loan move is now pending a medical examination, with an official announcement expected soon.
Akinsanmiro signed a four-year contract with Inter Milan during the 2023 winter transfer window from Nigerian club Remo Stars.
Although he was an unused substitute in the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina during the 2022-23 season, where Inter secured their ninth Coppa Italia title, Akinsanmiro made his first-team debut on February 25, 2024.
He came on as a substitute for Davide Frattesi in the 76th minute of a 4-0 league victory over Lecce.
The loan move to Sampdoria is intended to provide Akinsanmiro with more first-team opportunities and regular playing time, enhancing his development and gaining valuable experience in Serie B. Sampdoria, looking to bolster their midfield options, see Akinsanmiro as a promising addition to their squad
