Super Eagles fringe player Stephen Odey is attracting interests from Scottish giants Rangers FC and Celtic recently but latest report has it that the better interest is coming from Rangers FC.
Rangers boss Gio Van Bronckhorst is very keen in bringing the former Amiens player to the club since one of his prominent strikers Alfredo Morelos is entering into the final year of his contract. Odey shot into prominence after scoring 13 goals for Randers last season, helping them finish mid-table, which is not a little achievement for a very young club.
Having made reasonable progress in his career, the striker is keen on continually climbing up the ladder and move to the Europa League runner-up team where he will be welcomed by compatriots, Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo.
In the event of Odey making the news, sporting director of Randers, Soren Pedersen confirms and didn’t debunk the news, Pedersen confirms from Ibrox Stadium. Odey is a good player therefore, he should be sorted after by bigger clubs. ” It’s certainly not so concrete that we have offers.
“There are many clubs that have shown interest in him because he is a good player. However, there is nothing concrete yet.
“We are happy with him and he has a great sporting value so if we must say yes to something, it must be both the right club and the right amount.
The former Mountain of Fire player started his professional career with the Olukoya boys where he made his move to Zurich in 2017 and later to Gent in 2019 where he was loaned to Amiens and later to Randers who later made his deal permanent.
