Nigeria’s Stephen Odey scored his 15th goal in all competitions, as FC Zurich recorded a 1-0 league win against Sion at the Stadion Letzigrund on Sunday.
The former MFM FC striker scored the winning goal in the 69th minute as FC Zurich climbed to seventh in the Swiss Super League.
Odey will be looking to continue his impressive scoring form when his side face FC Basel at St. Jakob-Park on May 4.
In the Russian Premier League, another Nigerian, Sylvester Igboun helped his team FC Ufa with a brace as they beat Ural 4-1.
Red-hot Igboun has recorded six goals in his last five games for his Russian club and has 10 goals to his name in all competitions this season.
Other Nigerians who got their names on the score sheet during the weekend are: Victor Osimhen (Sporting Charleroi), Blessing Eleke (Luzern), Eke Uzoma (Budapest Honved) and Ahmed Musa (Al Nassr FC).
