Baba Jubril, the coach of Nigeria’s senior basketball team, D’Tigers, has expressed confidence that the team will qualify for the AfroBasket in the next qualifying window next year.
Despite facing challenges in previous matches, Jubril believes that the team will improve their game and secure qualification.

“We are committed to getting better. With the abundance of talent we have globally, we understand the significance of qualifying for major tournaments like AfroBasket. It’s a goal we are determined to achieve,” Jubril stated.
The coach emphasized the importance of representing Nigeria on the international stage and the motivation it brings to the team.
“Qualifying for tournaments like the AfroBasket is not only important for us as a team but also for the country.
Nigeria has a strong basketball tradition, and our presence at these events is highly anticipated worldwide.
That serves as an additional motivation for us to perform well and secure qualification,” Jubril added.
Looking ahead, Jubril expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back stronger and secure their spot in the AfroBasket.
“I have full faith in our team’s capabilities, and I believe we will return with a renewed determination to secure qualification.
