NWFL Premiership side, DreamStars Ladies FC have parted company with their coach, Bankole Oloowokere by mutual consent, the football club confirmed on Monday.
His departure comes a year after he helped the team retain its status in the Nigerian women’s elite league, the NWFL Premiership through the play-off.
The Flamingos Head Coach led the Pride of Lagos to a big win against Heartland Queens FC and his side also became the first and only side to score against Adamawa Queens in the 2018/2019 season.
“The club wishes to make it clear that Oloowokere left on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected, and significant figure at DreamStar FC Ladies”.
“We appreciate all his contributions to the club since he became manager seventeen months ago.” The club said in a statement.
Coach Anya Ugochi, who replaces the Ekiti-born gaffer is a CAF C holder and has been appointed to lead the Galacticas ahead of the rebranded NWFL premiership.
