With the most rated secondary school football competition, the Principal Cup starting tomorrow, the organisers of the tournament have assured Nigerians a fantastic time.
The Principal Cup will start off tomorrow for the first time in a long time with Igbogbi Secondary school facing Government College, Kaduna.
Having an exclusive interview with Sports247, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, President-General of Nigerian Football and other Sports Supporters Club, President of Nigeria Boxing Board of Control, and one of the brains behind National Principal Cup rebranded said everything is ready
“Well, I can confirm that tomorrow is the day we are looking forward to. I can confirm the boys from Kaduna Government College are here, Igbogbi College will be, the stadium is ready and we will make everything is hitch-free.”
“Tomorrow is the opener, I employ every Nigeria to watch it.” He added.
On being one of the people to revive the dead tournament, the President of Nigerian Football and other Sports Supporters Club said he is honored.
“In fact, I feel very happy. This was one of the means we got our best legs in the past, the likes of Segun Odegbami, Henry Nwosu, Dosu Joseph, Daniel Amokachi, and the likes, they gave Nigeria a very good name. We forgot how to hunt for talent and we can see the results in our sports.”
“We should thank the Minister for Youths and Sports for reviving the competition for us.” He noted.
According to him, the tournament will have other sports like Basketball, Volleyball, track and field, boxing, badminton, and so on.
The Principal Cup kick starts tomorrow at the Agege Soccer Temple, Lagos.
