Astute football administrator Dr. Ibrahim Kolade has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Yusuf Gbemisola on her selection for the 2024 CAF Young Referees Course.

Gbemisola, a member of the Lagos State Referees’ Council, has arrived in Cairo, Egypt, for the course. The UNILAG undergraduate, who impressed during the 2023 CAF School Football Tournament in Tanzania, is among 21 participants in the four-day training program.
A promising young referee, Gbemisola was previously part of the FIFA MA Course in both 2023 and 2024. She also contributed to the officiating team at the Besty Obaseki Women Football Championship in Benin, Edo State, after passing a national fitness test.
Dr. Kolade praised Gbemisola’s progress, describing it as a positive development for Nigerian football. He commended her dedication and passion, calling her an exemplary figure for young referees in the country.
