Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan Commends Governor Sule For Backing Nasarawa United And Amazons; Permanent Secretary Rewards Players With N500,000

The Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, has lauded Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support and timely interventions that have significantly boosted the performance of the State’s football teams, Nasarawa United FC and Nasarawa Amazons.

Speaking after Nasarawa United’s 1-0 victory over Katsina United in their NPFL match-day 20 clash at the Lafia City Stadium, Dr. Ibrahim praised the Governor’s commitment to youth and sports development. He highlighted how the Governor’s leadership has created a favorable environment for young athletes to excel.

“The Governor’s consistent support and approvals have been pivotal to our teams’ achievements. We deeply appreciate his passion for sports and youth empowerment,” Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan remarked.

He also acknowledged the dedication of the teams’ management, coaching staff, players, and support teams, emphasizing their role in the clubs’ successes. Confident in the teams’ ability to maintain their momentum, he expressed optimism about their future performances.

As a personal gesture, Dr. Ibrahim redeemed his promise of N500,000 to Nasarawa United players following their victory and encouraged them to maintain their winning form against Shooting Stars in their next match.

The Chairman of Nasarawa United, Mr. Solomon Babanjah, expressed gratitude to Governor Sule, Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support. He assured them that the team would continue to strive for excellence as a show of appreciation for their contributions.
